    What Is Female Infertility?

Female infertility refers to reproductive conditions that prevent ovulation, fertilization, or implantation.

    Common Causes

Female infertility can result from ovulation disorders such as PCOS, diminished ovarian reserve, blocked fallopian tubes, endometriosis, uterine abnormalities, or age-related egg quality decline. Hormone testing and imaging are used for diagnosis.

    Evaluation and Next Steps

Evaluation typically includes blood tests for AMH, FSH, and estradiol, an antral follicle count via ultrasound, and sometimes a hysterosalpingogram to assess tubal patency. Based on results, a reproductive endocrinologist recommends treatment options.
