What Is Endometrial Receptivity?
Endometrial receptivity refers to the uterine lining's readiness to accept and support an embryo for implantation.
How Receptivity Is Assessed
Doctors evaluate endometrial receptivity using ultrasound to measure lining thickness and pattern. Some clinics use the endometrial receptivity analysis (ERA) test, which examines gene expression in the lining to determine the optimal window of implantation.
Why It Matters in IVF
Successful implantation requires synchrony between a healthy embryo and a receptive endometrium. A displaced implantation window may contribute to repeated transfer failures even when embryo quality is confirmed.
