A frozen embryo transfer, or FET, is a procedure in which a previously frozen embryo is thawed and transferred into the uterus.

How FET Works

Embryos created during IVF can be frozen and stored for future use. During a later cycle, one of these embryos is thawed and transferred.

Frozen embryo transfers allow doctors to better control the timing of embryo transfer and may improve pregnancy outcomes in certain cases.
