    What Is an EmbryoScope?

An EmbryoScope is a specialized incubator with a built-in camera system that captures time-lapse images of developing embryos without removing them from their controlled culture environment.

    Clinical significance

EmbryoScope technology allows embryologists to continuously monitor embryo development and identify morphokinetic markers associated with implantation potential. It eliminates the need to physically remove embryos from the incubator for assessment, reducing environmental stress.

    Common confusion

EmbryoScope is a brand name for one type of time-lapse incubator. Other manufacturers produce similar systems. The term is sometimes used generically to describe any time-lapse embryo monitoring system.
