What Are the Hidden Costs of IVF?

Hidden costs of IVF are the expenses not typically included in a clinic's quoted cycle price. These include medications, genetic testing, embryo storage, anaesthesia, monitoring visits, and supplementary procedures.

    Clinical significance

Medications alone can add $3,000–$7,000 per cycle. PGT-A testing costs $3,000–$6,000 per batch. Annual embryo storage fees range from $500–$1,500. These costs accumulate significantly across multiple cycles.

    Common confusion

Many patients assume the quoted cycle fee covers everything. In practice, the total out-of-pocket cost is often 50–100% higher than the base cycle price.
