    What Is PGT Testing?

Preimplantation genetic testing, or PGT, analyzes embryos for genetic or chromosomal abnormalities before embryo transfer.

    How PGT Works

A small number of cells are removed from the outer layer of the embryo and analyzed in a genetics laboratory. This testing helps identify embryos with normal chromosome numbers.

    Types of PGT

PGT-A screens embryos for chromosomal abnormalities. PGT-M tests for specific inherited genetic diseases. PGT-SR detects structural chromosome rearrangements.

    Why It Matters in IVF

PGT can help guide embryo selection in some cases.
